Hunter Ceiling Fan Only Has 2 Speeds

In order to control the fan s speed the fan needs its own system of wires separate from that of the lighting element.

The l stands for load which is the black wire. Essentially we ll use process of elimination to get to the root of the problem. Turning the knob to high or medium did nothing. The kitchen ceiling fan used to have 3 speeds but now only has high speed.
